Appointments




Referrals



A current referral from a General Practitioner or other medical specialist is required to obtain a medicare rebate.


Initial Appointment


Initial appointments are generally 45 - 60 minutes in duration, with a further 1 - 2 subsequent appointments of 30 minutes to conclude the assessment.

It is helpful to bring along a list of your current medications and past treatments to the initial appointment. Relatives are welcome to attend, at the discretion of the patient.

Following this, appointments are either of 30 minutes or 45 minutes depending on requirements.

COVID Policy


Please call ahead if you are experiencing any symptoms that could represent COVID such as these.

If you have possible COVID symptoms, please speak with your GP regarding testing and treatment.
In most instances, appointments can be changed to Telehealth if you have COVID symptoms or are in a quarantine period.

Please let reception know if this is required.

Privacy


Patient privacy is treated with the utmost respect and this practice has rigorous policies to safeguard confidentiality.


Fees


Fees follow guidelines set by the AMA and are available upon request.

A medicare rebate is available as long as you have a current referral as above.

The Medicare Safety Net provide an 80% rebate of out of pocket expenses once you or your family reach the safety net threshold. To ensure you are registered for the Medicare Safety Net please call Medicare on 132 011 or click here.

This is not a bulk billing practice.


Cancellations


Please notify reception of any cancellations with at least one working day's notice. This allows us to use the free appointment for someone on our wait list.

Cancellations of less than 1 working day attract a cancellation fee.
